Recycling Bins Placed At BeachesNew recycling bins have been placed along the Central Coast and Southern California.
It's part of a statewide effort to keep plastic out of the water.
Last week The Surfrider Foundation and San Diego Coastkeeper announced they picked up 80,000 pieces of plastic at county beaches last year.
The new recycle bins themselves are also made of recycled material.
