Workout Recap - Week 29

Sunday, July 12th  10 mile run

Monday, July 13th – 7.17 mile run

Tuesday, July 14th – 7.27 mile run

Wednesday, July 15th – 4.44 mile run

Thursday, July 16th – 7 mile run

Friday, July 17th  Rest Day

Saturday, July 18th – 7.17 mile run

Started the week off with a high altitude run around Mammoth Lakes and finished it out with some hot and humid runs at sea level. It's been rather toasty (in the mid-80s by 10am), so I'm trying to do my best to pull back the pace and hydrate more during my runs. Everything's been smooth sailing and I even got in over 43 miles this week - BOOM SHAKALAKA!

Walt Wednesday

Some people do a "Wordless Wednesday" post, where they simply share a photo or image, but I thought I'd make a little series out of my Wednesdays. And since I love alliteration so much, why not go with Walt Wednesdays (obviously everyone can use a little break from the seriousness, scariness and sassiness of life - and what better way to help put a smile on your face than with a cute wiener dog picture, am I right?!)... So, without further ado...

WALT WEDNESDAY!

When life gets overwhelming, how do you de-stress?

Workout Recap - Week 28

Sunday, July 5th  7.07 mile run

Monday, July 6th – 7.27 mile run

Tuesday, July 7th – 7.27 mile run

Wednesday, July 8th – 5.55 mile run

Thursday, July 9th – Rest Day

Friday, July 10th  7.45 mile hike/ trail run with the hubby [Mammoth Mountain Summit]

Saturday, July 11th – 3.10 mile run with the hubby

I front loaded the week a bit since the hubby, pup and I were heading up to Mammoth for a long weekend. Even still, I was able to get in over 37 miles for the week, which ain't too shabby if you ask me. The body has been feeling fine, but I would say we are getting into warmer weather, so my paces will probably start dropping off a bit (unless I want to run before the sun comes out). Overall everything seems to be chugging along just as it should be and I am as happy as a clam!

Workout Recap - Week 27

Sunday, June 28th  4.64 mile run

Monday, June 29th – 7 mile run

Tuesday, June 30th – Rest Day

Wednesday, July 1st – 7.07 mile run

Thursday, July 2nd – 5.5 mile run

Friday, July 3rd  10.17 mile run (7.17 solo miles plus 3 miles with the hubby)

Saturday, July 4th – 7.07 mile run

At the beginning of the week my legs were still feeling a bit of the Mt Baldy adventure the hubby and I had last week, but thankfully with some extra stretching, foam rolling and movement all was feeling fine after a day or two. This was actually my first week in a while over 40 miles (and running 6 days with only 1 rest day). The body's feeling great and I'm surprised at how 7 miles is quickly becoming a midweek distance (I'll let you in on a little secret... I left my previous job last week, so I wasn't having to contend with running and working at the same time!). Next week will be a bit of a cutback week because the hubby, pup and I are heading up to the Mammoth area again, but I'm sure I'll still get in a few miles at altitude.
