Leyland

Although the Tigers are done with their season, there is still plenty of Tiger's news. Leyland was offered an extension on his contract, which he gladly accepted.

Jim Leyland will be managing the Detroit Tigers for two more years.
Leyland got what he wanted Tuesday when the Tigers extended his contract by one year, keeping him in the dugout through the 2009 season.

Maybe next year will end on a higher note than this season (even though the records that some of the players now hold are awesome, I think everyone would have liked to see a couple more wins and prevailing in the post season)!
