A Day In The Life

It's been a while since I've done one of these, and I know it's always interesting to see how others live their "normal" lives, so I figured it was about time for another "Day in the Life of Carlee McDot" post ;) [This post helps you all to relive my fun exciting regular life from yesterday {5.9.16}.]

5:50am: Ryan woke up to use the bathroom which woke me up. Laid in bed for a few minutes to see if I could fall back asleep but to not avail, so by 6:00am I was up and out of bed.

6:00am-6:30am: Checked in on my different social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Email, etc).

6:30am-7:15am: Snuggled up with the pup on the couch with my current book - "How Bad Do You Want It?" by Matt Fitzgerald {review coming soon - once I finish it!}.

7:15am-7:40am: Hubby got up to head to the climbing gym so I made him some coffee, got the pup's breakfast together and made the hubster a quick lunch.

7:40am-8:00am: Did a few household chores (started a load of laundry, made the bed, fed the fairies {aka made some sugar water for the hummingbirds}, folded blankets that were out from the night before, etc).

8:00am-8:30am: Walked the dog.

Sometimes these walks turn into a battle of will...
The stubborn dog likes to sit and sniff, but we are out for a WALK!

8:30am-8:45am: Laundry break (folded the clothes in the dryer, hung the colds in the washer, threw in the next round).

8:45am-9:30am: Strength training workout.

9:30am-10:20am: 5 mile run.

10:20am-10:40am: Instagram break (posted a picture from my run and checked in on what's going on in the IG world).

10:40am-11:35am: Showered, got ready and ate a quick lunch.

11:35am-11:50am: Laundry break (folded the clothes in the dryer, hung the colds in the washer, threw in the next round).

11:50am-1:15pm: Groceries (drove to the store, got groceries for the next week-ish, drove home, carted everything upstairs, did as much prep work as I could, put everything away).

1:15pm-1:35pm: Walked the dog.

1:35pm-4:00pm: Wrote my Wanderlust 108 Recap {normally I don't spent 4.5 hours on an average post, but since this was a recap of an event [especially one that I was comped entry for and expected to share about] I make sure to be as thorough as possible}.

At least I have a comfy, cozy place to work from - OUR PORCH!

4:00pm-5:00pm: Edited photos for my Wanderlust 108 Recap.

5:00pm-6:00pm: Participated in the #HealthyWayMag Twitter Chat (while also re-reading my Wanderlust 108 Recap and doing some final tweaking) / Also, from 5:20pm-5:40pm I walked the pup {but don't you worry, when I got back I made sure to catch up on all the questions I missed}.

6:00pm-6:30pm: Posted my Wanderlust 108 Recap on my blog and spread the word on my social media accounts.

6:30pm-7:00pm: Hubby got home from work so it was dinner time. I got Walt's food out and thankfully we had left over pizza from the previous night so all I had to do was plate it, nuke it and serve it ;)

7:00pm-7:30pm: Took Walt to a local school that opens their grounds after-hours to run around.

7:30pm-8:30pm: Since we missed our normal church service on Saturday night (we were whipped after that morning's trail 10K and still had to get up early the following morning for the Wanderlust 108 event so decided to stay home), we watched the sermon online {we have Growth Group on Tuesday nights and discuss the sermon and go over the 'homework' so have to make sure we listen/ watch it prior to then}.

8:30pm-9:00pm: Put away the 6 loads of laundry that I had done throughout the day.

Why is turning on the washer/dryer SO MUCH EASIER than
actually putting away the laundry?!

9:00pm-9:20pm: Foam rolled and stretched.

9:20pm-9:30pm: Got ready for bed {washed my face, brushed my teeth, took my vitamins, etc}.

9:30pm-10:00pm: Laid down to go to sleep but ended up scrolling around on Instagram for a bit before finally turning off my phone and going to bed.

10:00pm: Good night world!

It's funny to look back over my day when it is spelled out so blatantly and see how I actually spend my time. Yup, the majority of my day is spent doing chores, running/ working out and blogging - none of which I am getting paid for (although I know the hubby appreciates that I wait to do chores when he's at work, that way we aren't spending the limited time we have together doing them). So, if you know of anyone looking to pay a 30-something to take pictures, walk dogs, run, blog, etc, PLEASE pass along my info to them ;)

What was the best part of your 'regular' Monday?

Oh man your day and my day are pretty much the same but I don't blog and add a five year old little boy to the mix. If someone would also like to pay me to do the same, I'm down 😄

Points to you for actually putting away all of the laundry you did! Mine sits folded in its baskets for at least a few days before I motivate to actually get it put away.

I have a serious dislike for laundry! I am fine doing it but putting it away....UGH!! The best part of my Monday was coming home. Mondays are my long days (8-7) and I love coming in the door to my girls' hugs!
