#RnRSEA Here I Come!

I received some AWESOME news earlier today (and if you are my Facebook friend or follow me on Twitter you may already know what I'm about to say, but don't spoil it for the class, k?!)... I'm heading to Rock 'N' Roll Seattle mid-June! I was one of the lucky few selected to be an Ambassador for #RnRSEA on behalf of Athlete IQ and Alaska Airlines! WHOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!! <<insert running man dance here>>

Because I'm on the #RockNBlog team I already receive a complimentary entry to the race, but thanks to Alaska Air and the new ambassadorship I also receive AIR FARE TO AND FROM SEATTLE! OH HECK TO THE YES! This "Real Housewife of Oceanside" needs all the 'free' perks she can get or otherwise these racecations wouldn't be a reality!

I am STOKED! I've never been to Seattle before and you know that the best way to see a new city is to RUN THE CITY, right?! I'm BEYOND BLESSED to have this opportunity and I am going to take advantage of every single second I can!

I know it is still a couple weeks away (and I may have a 10K and two half marathons before then), but I want to try and start getting the details of the trip together sooner rather than later. Wanna know one detail that is a MUST?! The #RnRSEA #WeRunSocial Meet-Up! YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT! With Linzie and Megan hosting, along with PRO Compression sponsoring the shin-dig, you KNOW it's gonna be a good time! An afternoon filled with tons of amazing runners, all the selfies and maybe a donut or three?! COUNT ME IN!

Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to wear, because, let's be real, race day attire is of utmost importance! ;) {Do I go with a grunge theme? Or maybe Seahawks colors? Or how about as a giant coffee? The possibilities are ENDLESS!} And if you wanna come run Seattle with me and the crew, because why the heck wouldn't you, register HERE {there is an 8K, a half marathon and full marathon option} and use CARLEEMCDOT to save a couple bucks (which you could use to buy a coffee or maybe a dozen donuts - because SEATTLE!)!

Any suggestions on MUST-SEE or DO things in Seattle?

Congrats! That is seriously awesome! I live in Alaska so I've been to Seattle plenty of times, and you will love it! I love running along the waterfront, but be aware that it's crazy hilly! I think the last time I was there for a work trip I ran in the arboretum and it was gorgeous. My must do every time is a visit to the original Starbucks in Pike's Market - if you're into the Starbucks "You Are Here" mugs they have one for that specific location and it's my favorite one ever!

don't do a grunge theme, ok? that's way past it's expiration date!
I would say go to Pike Place Market, that's definitely a place not to miss and check out the first Starbucks.

Congrats on the ambassadorship!

Yay congrats!! I spent MOST of my time in Seattle at a gym, but I did love seeing Pike Place and going to OG Starbucks. :)
