Wide Open Hearts

Hello Friends and Family!! I wanted to let you know what has been going on in my life lately. I decided a few months ago that I wanted to start some sort of business, but not something for profit, more something that I could turn around and give the proceeds to charity. I have been Mod Podging pieces for a while now and thought that I would try and sell some of my pieces. I have started a website (until it turns into something big I am using a blog format, since it is free): http://wideopenhearts.blogspot.com. It would be absolutely wonderful if you would take a minute and just check it out. Don't worry, I am not expecting anyone to buy anything, but I just wanted to get the word out there (in case someone comes to mind when you see a piece and you want to pass along the site to them). The basis of Wide Open Hearts is an idea that I had that combines my creativity with my heart for others. It started with Mod Podging a few empty glass jars that I had, and hopefully will evolve into something much bigger. The funds raised through the sale of my pieces will be funneled directly into charities (and the buyer even gets to choose which of the accepted charities their purchase will go toward). When I began I was simply making pieces that I loved, but I am totally open to special orders ( i.e. specific colors you would like, size of the piece, etc). My mind is wide open to the possibilities that will come my way and I hope that this is one avenue that will help you to have a wide open heart. Again, I don't want you to think that I am pressuring you into buying something, I just wanted to let you know what I have been up to and see some of my creations. If you have any feedback on the site or even any of the pieces, I would love to hear it.
