Friday Favorites

Another week, another list of what I'm loving lately! I hope you get as much use out of this series as I hope you do. I know I appreciate having legit recommendations/ endorsements rather than ads/ sponsored content being thrown at me all the time, so hopefully some of you see a few new things you are amped to discover. Here goes this week's assortment...

Simplifying

Recently the hubby and I have been doing our best to try to downsize/ simplify our lives. If we don't love it or use it, it's clutter and we are trying to get rid of it. Some things we've been able to sell (like the treadmill and old computer), while other stuff (like kitchen goods and clothes) we have been donating to local organizations. It is crazy, but it sort of feels like a weight you didn't know you were carrying has been lifted off your shoulders when you start getting rid of things you don't need. As always, I'm sure there is plenty of stuff we could still afford to sell/ donate, but I am very proud of our progress.

Sparkle Athletic's Pineapple Gear

I mentioned the new Sparkle Athletic skirts (specifically the pineapple and shamrock rainbow ones) a few weeks ago in a prior Friday Favorites post, but they just released the pineapple HAT that goes with it and I think it's a MUST! I know we are simplifying, but I think this is more of a NEED than a WANTright?! I mean, the whole outfit is pretty SWEET!

Plogging

I heard about "plogging" from one of the recent Runner's World articles. It might not be hitting the United States just yet, but I am hoping it catches on soon! Sweden's environmentally conscious runners have taken to picking up trash, calling the aerobically taxing and trash-consolidating activity “plogging,” a combination of “jogging” and “plucking” (apparently what picking up rubbish is considered). If you remember my post from Monday about the Wild Keepers program I am a part of, this is right up my alley! I mean, I already collect "treasures", why not bring a trash bag to pick up garbage at the same time?! Thanks to the new trend, running is proving to be not only good for your health, but good for the earth too.

Mystery Knock Box

Every once in a while Knockaround will release a mystery box. You don't get to select the sunnies that come, but you do get a GREAT deal! They just posted their most recent box and it is selling like hotcakes. There are only 750 boxes available, so I would suggest you order yours NOW if you want one because once they're gone - they're GONE! Every Knock Box is guaranteed four pairs of sunglasses (two of which are polarized). These Knock Boxes have over a $85 value with some lucky boxes valued at over $115. Here's what you get:
  • 1 best-selling pair of Classics
  • 1 ready-to-party pair of Premiums
  • 1 polarized pair of Fort Knocks (v1.0)
  • 1 polarized pair of Mile Highs XL
  • 100 lucky boxes will receive a Special Release pair!

Run Ink Free Valentine's

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Run Ink has released some AWESOME (and FREE) downloadable Valentine's Day cards. Perfect for the runner(s) in your life. I think the only thing better than this "I love you more than carbs" card would be if it featured chips and salsa (since you know that is my weakness the way to my heart). To access the free download library, simply enter your email address HERE and join their mailing list. It's a tiny price to "pay" for this AMAZINGNESS!

What are you loving lately?

One of the very last blog posts I wrote dealt with releasing weight I didn't know I was carrying when I did my last big declutter. It was an amazing feeling and I'm happy to hear you're feeling it too!
