Both of my mom's parents are having surgery this month. My Grandma goes in today to have her thyroids biopsied and worked on. My Grandpa will go in next week on Friday to have his arteries cleared out in his neck. He is pretty nervous about the surgery. It is tough being across the country and not being able to go visit them, but I guess prayer is the next best thing.
Prayer Before Surgery
Loving Father, I entrust my grandparents to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, they may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and with those around them. Through Jesus Christ. Amen. Into your hands, I commend their body and their soul. Amen.
