Sunday, January 13th - Biked for 19 miles (Ryan still wasn't feeling 100% so I made the trek on my own this week. When I started it was in the 30*s and finished around the 50*s - pretty perfect weather.), Foam Rolled & Stretched
Monday, January 14th - Short Intervals on the Elliptical for 60 minutes, Foam Rolled & Stretched
Tuesday, January 15th - Strength Training (abs, back, arms and legs), Foam Rolled & Stretched
Wednesday, January 16th - Elliptical for 60 minutes, Foam Rolled & Stretched
Thursday, January 17th - Long Intervals on the Elliptical for 60 minutes, Foam Rolled & Stretched
Friday, January 18th - Easy 2.5 mile run (through Disneyland and California Adventure with the runDisney Meet Up!!)
Saturday, January 19th - Rest Day, Foam Rolled & Stretched [planning on doing this A LOT to get ready for the race tomorrow - which has a start time of 5AM...]
I've been trying to keep up with the foam rolling and stretching, especially since I had that funny pain in my knee last weekend. Since then it hasn't bothered me (but then again I only did the one easy run outside on the pavement since then). I'm praying that it was just a fluke thing (maybe I had twisted it funny or slept weird on it) and the pain won't come back again.
Even though tomorrow is my race, and you would think that I would be able to take a little more of a break, I have another half marathon (with my sister-in-law) in about a month, so my workouts won't begin to taper of again for another couple weeks. I AM very excited about the thought of adding yoga to my workouts after that half though! And OF COURSE I'll keep you updated on how that goes as well!!
