Veggie Dogs

Ryan and I will be heading up to the Angel Stadium tomorrow afternoon to watch the Tigers play! YAY! I decided I should look up the veggie food situation before hand, so we know if we need to eat at Taco Bell or something on the way :) Luckily it looks like the Angel Stadium ranks #8 of baseball stadiums with veggie options:

PETA rates Angel Stadium as vegetarian-friendly

Angels fans are lucky to have the healthy choice with a place like this season’s new arrival, Melissa’s Harvest, and a variety of concessions that offer vegetarian options. In fact, Angel Stadium has grabbed eighth place in PETA’s 10th ranking of Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Ballparks.

Melissa’s menu (left) features gluten-free veggie dogs and black-bean burgers. Other concessions offer items such as a veggie burgers, California cucumber roll, a bean burrito, edamame, a veggie wrap, a roasted-vegetable sandwich (seasonal grilled and roasted vegetables served on a ciabatta roll), organic green salad, a fresh fruit cup, and fresh whole fruit.

For more information and to see the complete list of winners, check out the PETA site (click here).
