Tomorrow is his ACTUAL birthday, but since we had everyone up at the lake, we figured we would do a little celebration for his big, THIRD birthday. Char Star found a picture of a cupcake race-car 'cake'. She pre-made the cupcakes and then her and I tried to decorate it. (I am pretty glad I didn't take a picture of what it was 'supposed' to look like, cause we were missing a few of the key ingredients, so it looked a LITTLE different from the picture).
(Matthew picked out the race-car driver :) ) As we were getting ready to sing happy birthday we realized we didn't have any candles, so my dad suggested getting the pillar candle out of the bathroom - oh how inventive, hehe.
Then we needed some eating pictures (and the boys didn't seem to cooperate).
Good enough I guess :)
The McClurgs got Matthew Man swim lessons. We decided we would keep with the theme for at least part of our gifts. We got him a Shamu raft (which he still has to warm up to --- he kept calling him Shampoo):
A Reef Sandal raft:
And since he likes Toy Story (it was the first actual movie he got to watch), we saw kids at the pool last year with these character poncho/ towels, so we got him a Woody towel for after his lessons:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAN! WE ARE SO GLAD THAT WE GOT TO CELEBRATE WITH YOU SIR!!
