Day 8 of #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas

Thanks so much for stopping by CarleeMcDot.com today. Whether you've been following along on my journey since I started this blog OVER ELEVEN YEARS AGO or you stopped by for the first time today - WELCOME!

And no matter how long you've been visiting, you picked an AMAZING time to pop in because we're celebrating my #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas {read my post announcing this series HERE if you don't know what I'm talking about}.

Today is Day 8 of my #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas! And the prize today is pretty FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC! Although, to be honest, all of the prizes are AMAZEBALLS! If I could enter my own giveaways I'm pretty sure I would enter each and every one of them in this series because they are just that awesome.

Up for grabs today are: 8 surprise Sparkly Soul headbands.

For today, DAY EIGHT, eight winners will be selected, each winning a surprise Sparkly Soul headband.

For almost as long as I've been running I've been rocking Sparkly Soul headbands (and for the past four years or so have been honored to be a part of their amazing ambassador program). I love the extra hit of sparkle they bring to my outfit, but not only that, they don't have a piece of black elastic in the back, they don't give me headaches and they don't slip or fall off during activity (and I wear them for everything from running to swimming and all activities in between).

Sparkly Soul was created for all the women who find their strength and soul while pushing themselves to their athletic limits. The company was actually started by a marathoner and triathlete (so they know exactly what an athlete like you and me need when it comes to activewear). Sparkly Soul was created as the comfortable solution for all of us athletic fashionistas so there will be no fussing with our hair while we are working out (or out on the town).
I wear Sparkly Soul headbands any time I have my hair pulled up (whether I'm working out or not). They help keep my fly-aways under control and the colors match any outfit I can conjure up. Sparkly Soul offers sparkly headbands, satin headbands, thin headbands, thick headbands, headbands that support charities, etc. (In case you were curious about my preference, I love the thick sparkly ones, but also have fun stacking different colored thin ones to mix it up too.)

A small assortment of my ever growing collection... I believe I'm over 50 now!

Entering this giveaway (along with the other #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas giveaways) is easy-peasy! Simply use the Rafflecopter widget listed below on the giveaway blog post and cross your fingers. Some entries are available daily so I'd HIGHLY recommend entering early and often. (Shoot, I would even go as far as suggesting you set an alarm to remind you to come back to this page every 24 hours so you can take advantage of as many entries as possible!)

a Rafflecopter giveaway
Now, the nitty gritty details... All entries are verified, so please make sure to do whatever the required action for the entry is or it will be disqualified. I would hate for you to miss out on winning due to a technicality, so if you are going to click the option, make sure you do whatever it asks or a new, random winner will be selected in your place.

Also, this giveaway will last seven days, with the winners being picked (and notified) on the eighth day. The winners will have 24 hours to reply to the congratulations email from me to claim their prize. That means, for this specific giveaway, it will end on December 14th at 11:59pm PST and the EIGHT winners will be chosen on December 15th.

And, finally, the winners must have a US mailing address. International shipping seems to cost an arm and a leg these days, and customs is a major headache, so to make it easier (and cheaper) on the brands who have offered up their products, the winners must live in United States of America (or at least have an address we can ship to within the US).

With that said, BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERS! And don't forget to stop back tomorrow to see what is up next in my #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas (I promise you do NOT want to miss out on any of these giveaways!)!

PS Just in case you aren't one of the lucky winners, you can use "CARLEE" for 30% off from December 8th through the 14th (because EVERYONE is a WINNER in my book)! So go get your shop on and save a few dollars in the process!

I love headbands for working out because they make sure my glasses don't move around (especially during weights or when I'm super sweaty)!

Katie said...

I usually use wide headbands (like bondi bands or hippie runner) because i workout super early and it’s dark.
When I run in the daylight I like visors (in the summer) or lightweight hats.

Reca Porter said...

I love sparkle, so any sparkly headband is my go to! I love my Sparkly Soul Fourth of July themed headband!

Jamie Theriault said...

Sparkly Soul are my faves to tame my curly mess!

Libby Kurtz said...

I LOVE visors by BOCO Gear!

Jennifer said...

I love to wear Sparkly Soul headbands when I workout.

Ken Christensen said...

I like a hat for my bald head, my girls would love these

Allison said...

I like hats for the summer, and headbands/headwraps for the winter. Buff is my favourite!

Michelle B said...

I run in sparkly soul when it's warm out and bondi band and buffs when it is cold and I need my ears covered as well.

Jenn Cramer said...

Currently I'm just wearing anything to keep me warm enough in the freezing weather!! :)

Carmen said...

Bobby pins or a headband for me!

Heather Mundwiler said...

Headbands unfortunately fall off my head - I must have a weird shaped head, which makes me sad because there are so many cute headbands! I do have a visor that I like to wear when it's sunny!

Allison O'Rourke said...

Headbands for indoor workouts, visor for outdoor summer running and beanies for winter running!

Angela Heskett said...

I normally wear a visor but sometimes that gets a little hot. In that situation, I just pull my hair up in a ponytail. :)

Katy C. said...

I mostly wear my hair up and hope for the best.

Goldie said...

I usually just use bobby pins since I have short hair, but I'd love to try one of these cute headbands!

Tara said...

On trails I am always in trucker hats (how stereotypical right?) and on the road I typically have a thin headband to keep my crazy fly-aways in check.

Unknown said...

Definitely these type of headbands for every. single. run. especially something with the felt or sticky material on the bottom so it doesn't slide!

Anna Bortz said...

Depends on the day..... When it is sunny a hat, cold a stocking cap, and when my hair is crazy I wear headbands.

Jolene said...

Headbands always! I have a few from sweaty bands and a few from etsy.

Leah Brown said...

I've been using the "buff" tubular hardware things, folding them in half and using them as head bands/ear warming bands. They work great to keep my frizzy hair flat and also keep my ears warm on colder runs but they aren't quite as warm as a hat so I don't overheat.

Allison Hill said...

These are soo cute!! I would love them!

Shaunna said...

Usually I wear a hat or a visor

Angela said...

I wear hats or visors.

Katrin Lemmon said...

I am definitely a headwear type of runner girl! Usually it's either Sparkly Soul headbands, a Sparkle visor, or one of my Dodgers hats. :)

Misti said...

Visor for runs, headbands for everyday wear

Nikki Fahey said...

I love wearing headbands. I haven't tried these ones though they look nice

D Johnson said...

I prefer headbands.

Kyle B. said...

I wear bondi bands myself but my wife is pretty obsessed with sparkly soul.

Heather said...

I only wear sparkly soul headbands when I run! They are the only ones that stay put. On the rare occasion that I wear a hat in the winter I keep a headband in the stroller for when the hat comes off when I get too warm.

Amy Scott said...

I wear headbands and love the SParkly Soul ones.

Sara Dean said...

It really depends on the weather... if its below 60 aa ear warmer headband( I get earaches!), below 50 a full on beanie and over 60 I was wearing the Under Armor headbands but they were destroying my hair.... I ended up with side bands from those headbands!

Kelly Wu said...

Lately I've been wearing visors/hats for running. They keep the hair out of my face and sun out of my eyes (mostly) since i don't like wearing sunglasses. For other workouts I looove Sparkly Soul. They have so many great designs!

Trucker hats

Lindsay said...

I love headbands at the gym and hats if I’m out side!

Amanda Williams said...

I prefer headbands since I like to wear sunglasses.

Britany G. said...

Headbands! They work the best to control my crazy hair, especially if I'm on a long run.

Crystal Fretwell said...

Headbands, hats when it’s raining or a beanie when it’s cold!

Emily Christman said...

I occasionally wear Sweaty Band headbands but recently I have been finding that the elastic is wearing out fairly quickly! I'm interested in trying new brands, like Sparkly Soul!

Danielle Fogerty said...

these headbands are the best, i already own about 50, but I will always take more

Ashley said...

I love a good headband! But recently I've been putting all the running hats I've gotten through various races to use so I can forgo the sunglasses.

Laura Anne Masterson said...

Ear Warmers when its cold & my Swag hat from Shamrock Half Marathon 2016 in VA Beach (Best race ever! Even with Rain!!) Headbands usually slip off my head mid run and are lost forever so i'd love to see how these work out!

Daniell Vecchione said...

My preferred is most definitely my Sparkle Athletic visors. Wear one on every run!

Keri said...

Headband for me

Jessica Johnson said...

I usually just throw my hair in a ponytail but when i'm outside in the cold or rain a headband keeps my ears warm and those pesky little hairs from getting in my face.

Anne Amador said...

This would be the perfect cute addition to my racing outfit! Plus, if I won blue and gold, I could rock it for Boston!

Megan Warzecha said...

Headbands all the way, baby! No favorite brand, but they MUST have velvet underneath. Those kind never slide!

Amanda said...

I wear headbands ALL OF THE TIME for EVERYTHING!! These are sparklyand Shiny!

Jamie said...

Sparkly soul headbands are the best! Not tight but don't stretch out when sweaty either! ♥️

Noelle said...

I am so thankful to have discovered Sparkly Soul! I love headbands, but never wore them because they either gave me a headache or I felt ridiculous trying to properly place one for half an hour (my six year old niece slips them on with ease and looks flawless!). Once I found Sparkly Soul, my woes were gone and I love wearing them to run, take a HIIT class or just around town. They stay in place, so not stretch out, never give me a headache and SPARKLE!! I love them so much and am glad you do too!!

I wear hats in the colder months. I do love the way headbands look on everyone else but they are always sliding off my head.

Sandra Bond said...

If i wear anything, I wear headbands. I can't really stand hats and visors (and glasses) for that matter when I run.

Lisa Bess said...

I havn't found a headband that wont slip off my head, so I just opt for bobby pins. I live in OR so most months I'm wearing a beanie to keep my ears warm, and then a hat when its raining hard.

Stephanie Abdon Fulton said...

I put one of these on my dog as part of a halloween costume two years ago. That night we met a guy that is now my husband :)

These headbands are perfect way to tame postpartum hair regrowth!

I wear headbands in the winter, but not usually other times of the year.

Jamie Komadina said...

favourite headwear is either a Ciele hat (made in Montreal!) or else a skinny headband!! or a buff if it's cold!

Runmarlierun said...

Anything that will keep my hair back and stay on my head! Hats, headbands, etc. once it starts falling off, it’s gotta go!

naye d said...

Love headbands and these are super cute!!!

Jillian Robinson said...

Love a good headband to complete my ensemble for a good run!

MVB said...

Since I cut my hair off, my favorite for outdoor runs is headband + hat. For treadmill runs a headband or clip.

Nicole Nolen said...

These are our very favorite headbands! My daughter and I squabble over who gets to wear which one, she wears one DAILY and I wear one for every run and/or workout which is not quite daily, but enough to cause a squabble. 😬😂

I actually don’t like to use any type of headwear, because nothing ever stays put and I look ridiculous in hats. But if I absolutely need something, I’ll wear a visor.

Bree at Clarity Defined said...

Headbands pretty much exclusively (also, Sparkly Soul exclusively - they're the only ones that don't slip for me!). I'm trying to learn to love visors because sunglasses always fog up on runs for me.

wvmello said...

I like half buffs for longer runs and sparkly soul for shorter ones!

Laura McCarthy said...

I usually braid my hair to keep it out of my face for races because I haven’t found a headband that doesn’t give me a headache after a while or slip off mid run

tj said...

Braids & a hat or visor. I’m OBESSED with headsweats performance trucker hats. Especially the Bigfoot collection because I’m OBSESSED with all things Bigfoot. In the summer I might be known to slap on a headband....

Shay @ Whine Less, Breathe More said...

This is my absolute favorite brand of headbands! I wear a skinny band every time I workout. They stay in place and, most importantly, keep my hair off my face!

AER-Runs said...

I usually wear a headband or just bobby pin my hair back if it gets fly aways!

Jessica Earley said...

I wear Bondi bands normally but if it’s raining I’m a fan of visors

Jennifer Marcum said...

While at the gym, it's always Sparkly Soul. On a run, it's a Headsweats visor or cap.

Brittany Artz said...

I’m always on the lookout for good headbands!

Jessica Mace said...

I loved headbands! No particular brand - I love all headbands equally 😆

Sarah said...

I can't workout without a headband, everytime I try my hair annoys the piss out of me! I started using Hippie Headbands a couple years ago and never branched from there, but I'd love to try some thinner ones.

Amanda Faul said...

I usually just have my hair falling in my face. Would love this! They look so fun!

Andrea Trulove said...

I LOVE headbands. So far I love boulder bands, and junk bands the best. I haven’t found a thinner band that will stay on my head yet. I’d love to try these!!

Sadie said...

I love hats on hot and sunny days. But I love my SparklySoul bands for cool daily runs.

I usually like wearing headbands because I feel better about sweating on those than with hats/visors! :P

I switch between head bands and visors. I like old navy's headbands

Samantha Hopkins said...

I love headbands and visors when working out. Headbands in the dark, and visors in the day. I love my Sparkly Soul headbands and my BOCO visors the most.

katy_dyer said...

If I am running in the snow or really cold weather, I life a fuzzy headband for my ears. Otherwise, I don't wear anything while running. I think the headband could be great for yoga or barre.

Mai Khuong said...

I will use either a visor or a headband!

Jessalyn B. said...

Headbands are my go to, but I haven’t found one I completely love yet! This would be an amazing win!

Secluded Brumus said...

Sometimes a headband, sometimes a hat.

Headbands!

amie said...

I wear hats outside and headbands inside. I use all different brands.

Rachel Hagan said...

I’m a headband girl! Sparkly Soul is one of my favorites to wear. They are just the right amount of tight so they don’t slip & slide around!

Jenny said...

I love Sparkly Soul! They are the only ones that don't slip off my head!

Wehaf said...

I generally just do a ponytail and sometimes cover with a baseball cap.

Amber Harman said...

I will wear wider headbands, like the Bondi Band. My scalp burns easily and hats sometimes hold in too much heat during the summer.

Briana said...

I'm all about the Sparkly Soul headbands... but rock the occasional visor or trucker when it rains.

Terra Heck said...

I tend to throw my hair up in a high ponytail and put on a headband. Thanks.

I used to wear just those Goody black stretchy headbands, but stopped wearing them after a while. I need to wear them again since I got my hair cut and not all my hair fits into a pony! - Kim K.

9 out of 10 times, I wear a headband during a run because it helps significantly with sweat!! Usually under armour! The other times, and during my hikes I like to wear hats!

Oh I love the sparkles! I would love to try these!

Jo Ann Dillion said...

I like to change it up! I have very few headbands but they are critical since cutting my hair short!

Ricky said...

I usually change up between a buff, headbands, and a hat. Since I do laundry often I usually cycle through only about 2 of each. I would love the sparkle headbands. I think they are both functional and cute!

Cute sparkly headbands are a must when I’m inside on the treadmill. Gotta keep my hair out of my face (and looking cute when my cat yells at me to run faster never hurts either)

Kimmie B. said...

I like headbands but don't have a favorite. As long as it keeps the hair off my face, I'm okay.
