Bedford offense rolls over Wyandotte

Wyandotte Roosevelt’s football team only gave up 27 points during the regular season and recorded six shutouts.

But on a magical night in front of an overflow crowd of 6,000 on Wyandotte’s home field, the Bedford Kicking Mules scored more points than the Bears gave up in the entire regular season.

With quarterback Jared Kujawa leading the way, the Mules manhandled Wyandotte 34-23 Friday in a battle of 10-0 teams in the Division 2 state playoffs.

Bedford never punted all night, kept the clock moving with long drives, committed only one penalty and had no turnovers.

In their biggest game in school history, the Mules played their best game of the season, a near mistake-free performance.
