Friday Favorites

Despite the fact that the hubby and I are leaving before the butt-crack of dawn this morning to make our way to Phoenix for tomorrow's Mesa-PHX Marathon (I'll be running the full and he is doing the half), I still wanted to share some of my favorite finds for some of my favorite people. Here's to hoping you dig them as much as I do!

Re-Spun by Marine Layer

I saw this on Brogan's IG stories earlier this week and was STOKED! It's a revolutionary recycling program that’ll give your old tee a new life. How it works is you send Marine Layer your old tees, you receive a $5 credit per shirt ($25 max but they don't cap your donation) and then your discarded clothes get a new life when they re-spin your old shirts into new one-of-a-kind recycled tees! The reason Marine Layer is implementing this is because as they’ve grown, they’ve learned more about how textiles negatively impact the environment. The hubby and I normally donate our clothes to a local thrift store, but this idea is pretty amazing too. The thought is to reuse what already exists. Sometimes it really is that simple. Together, we can put an end to textile waste — one tee at a time. Can't wait to see the recycled line come April!

Halo Top Pops

You guys know I love me some Halo Top Ice Cream, so when I saw their recent news about pops I was BEYOND THRILLED! I haven't seen them in our local grocery store yet, but hopefully they are on their way! It's the same ice cream you know and love, now with 100% more stick. Again, I haven't tried them yet so I don't know how they compare (or how much the cost or how small they are), but love that they range from 50-60 calories per pop and have 2-3 grams of protein.

Mott Children's Hospital Valentine

I saw a tweet from C.S. Mott Children's Hospital (which is located on the University of Michigan's campus) and had to pass along the request. They are hoping you'll take a few quick seconds to shower their "Little Victors" with Valentines! It's easy to send a personalized, interactive Valentine with just a few clicks at http://mottchildren.org/valentine. Patients will even be able to bring their Valentine to life with a custom augmented reality experience, using any mobile device!

The Mitten State Tumbler

Yep, I'm pretty sure I need at least one of these tumblers from The Mitten State in my life. I mean, I think I need one in every color, but if I HAD TO settle on a single one, I think the mint (or maybe aqua) might be my very fave. They keep your beverages hot for 8 hours or cold for 16 hours. They are a double wall 18/8 stainless steel thermal tumbler with copper vacuum insulation, stainless steel accent, clear push-on lid, and powder coated finish.

Keep Nature Wild - Pound Per Product

You may remember that last year I was a Wild Keeper with the Keep Nature Wild brand. Recently I noticed on one of their IG posts that they mentioned that they are removing ONE POUND of trash for every product sold. I don't remember this being part of their "mission statement" last year, but I do know they went through some rebranding (changing their identity from "Keep It Wild" to "Keep Nature Wild") and may have added this in the reboot. Whatever the case, I'm all for it! I love that they're always urging the community to get out and get active and now they're literally putting their words into action!
