Can you believe it?! I went a FULL week with no running and I didn't go crazy or die (although it was questionable some days ;)). In the past, I would take a day (or, at most, two) after a race for rest/ recovery. Now that my final full is off the calendar (for the time being at least), I knew my body needed some extended rest. Hubby and I have a 10K this weekend and then the following weekend it is going down for Rock N Roll San Diego (I'm doing the Remix Challenge - 5K on Saturday and Half Marathon on Sunday). Hopefully the rest has done my body some good (since I don't think it necessarily helped my head space ;)).
