Brooks Run Influencer (& GIVEAWAY)

If you were to ask me which running brands I would LOVE to work with, the list would be {somewhat} short and sweet:
* PRO Compression
* Garmin
* Sparkle Athletic
* Handful Bras
* Sparkly Soul
* Brooks
I am lucky to say that I have been able to work, in some capacity or another, with all of the brands on my "love" list. {PS If we expanded the list to companies outside of the running realm I would definitely add an airline and hotel chain to this list so I could make more racecations happen without making my wallet cry for mercy.}

I have been honored to be a part of the PRO Compression ambassador team for the last four years, have been working with the Garmin crew for almost three, have been a Sparkly Soul ambassador for over two years, have been repping Handful Bras as an official ambassador for the last year and have have actually been working for the Sparkle Athletic ladies for a little over six months now.

Although I have been lucky enough to work with Brooks on a few campaigns, nothing has been official... UNTIL NOW! Yup... If you couldn't tell from the title of the post, I have been asked to be a Brooks Run Influencer (think of this as an ambassador role if you will). Let's just say when I got the email asking if I wanted to be a part of this squad I did a little happy dance. In the past this role has been reserved for elite runners and coaches... of which I am NEITHER! So to find out that they opened up the team to "regular" runners AND asked me to be a part of it, I was OVER THE MOON!

From one of the Brooks campaigns I was lucky enough to work on

I've been rocking Brooks since around the time I first started running. (My first pair of shoes I was fitted for by my local running store was a different brand, but after that I've been consistent in my Brooks love.) I currently have five pairs of Brooks Running shoes and four pairs of Brooks Heritage shoes, along with some of their apparel in the closet (and that doesn't include the five pairs of "retired" Brooks Running shoes I recently donated at the Carlsbad Half Marathon Expo).

Just a few of the Brooks Running shoes I have had over the years... I would say the number is in the upper twenties...

And what better way to cap off this announcement than with a GIVEAWAY?! If you didn't know, one of Brooks' slogans is "Run Happy"... uh DUH! I mean, if you know me, you know that this relationship was meant to be, right?!

And not only is it one of their sayings, it is THE saying on the hat that I've got up for grabs! Today I have one of the Brooks Running Run Happy Sherpa Hats (in white) available for one of YOU! The Run Happy Sherpa running hat shades as well as it protects. Constructed with DriLayer® fabric, this stretch-woven material wicks moisture away from your skin, while an interior wicking headband keeps you extra dry and comfortable. Use the adjustable back to find the perfect fit, and run happy and safe with reflective detail that will help you stay visible in low light.

Entering is easy, use the Rafflecopter widget and put your name in the hypothetical hat (in case you're confused... the giveaway hat is NOT hypothetical, it's definitely real, the hat in which you are "throwing your name in" is just a saying).

a Rafflecopter giveaway
This giveaway runs through Monday, February 20th at 11:59pm PST. The winner will be contacted via the email address associated with their Rafflecopter account and has 24 hours to claim their prize. All entries are verified, so be sure to complete them or a new, random winner will be selected (I don't want you missing out due to a technicality).

Good luck to everyone who enters and remember to enter early & often as some of the options are available daily!

Congrats Carlee! I "run happy" because it is my passion that has made me strong. It is my time to talk with God. It is a time where I can enjoy my music and surroundings :)

I run happy because running gives me peace, confidence, and happiness. It is me time -- alone time to be with the outdoors. But it's also brought me great relationships. During trainings, I've made amazing friendships and have enjoyed the talks and support along many long runs. Running fills my happy bank.

I "Run Happy" because it's me time!

Congrats Carlee! Brooks were the first official running store shoe purchase and they have made a world of difference for my feet. I now even cross train exclusively in them.

How they make me run happy? Before Brooks, I suffered from an inflamed nerve in the ball of my foot and after, that inflammation has been significantly reduced. The little sayings inside the shoes make me smile as I'm lacing up for a run. I even have a run happy Momentum Jewelry footnote on my Pure Flow 5s as yet another reminder.

This has to be one of my favorite slogans! I run happy because running helps settle my very busy and sometimes anxious mind. Even though running comes with its own set of challenges, it's the perfect outlet for me :)

Congratulations! I run happy by taking it one step at a time. Up until the past year, I put way too much emphasis on performance and always comparing my runs to other runners and even my own runs in the past. I would defeat mentally defeat myself constantly. I can now say that I am much better at staying in the moment and not psyching myself out at every mile.

I've run in Brooks since my very first official running store fitting about 6 years ago. I have a few models and currently loving the Ghosts!

I run happy by pushing my double stroller and hanging with my little guys or by rocking out at a group run with my fellow mother runners!

While I don't run in Brooks sneakers, I do love their running clothes (especially their hats and shirts) because the fabric is super lightweight and breathable!

I run happy by using running as a mental break. I love that I can clear my mind for a short period of time!

So awesome! I run happy because having fun while running makes it all worthwhile.

Wahoo! Brooks! Congrats! I love brooks. They are pretty much all I run in. I run happy by running with my pups as often and as much as I can. It's hard to be negative when you have a happy pup bouncing around in front of you.

I am a Brooks convert and will never go back! I was in Nikes for years.

Brooks has really helped me to run happIER because they're like running on clouds! I also run happy by blaring my favorite tunes (Disney included) during my runs. My go to is good old 2Pac, though. He makes me feel like a real BA and pushes me when I feel like quitting. (Seriously, just remembering what his abs looked like pushes me to run at least a min/mile faster!)

I run happy by remembering that I "get" to run and treat every mile as a blessing. I also run with friends, to get outside and to see new places - all of those things make me happy! Congrats on this awesome opportunity!

I run happy by listening to what might possibly be the dorkiest list of run songs ever but who cares? No one is listening to it but me and it motivates me and makes me happy! I love when certain songs come on at just the right time as I am watching the sunrise around the reservoir as I run through Central Park.

I run happy because I have realized that at 61 years young, I am not in the norm!! I see so many other friends over the age of 60 that would love to be able to walk a mile let alone complete 15 half marathons!!! :) :)

I could use one of these because - seriously - my dog ate the one I had!

I run happy just by being able to run! I know a lot of other people are sidelined due to injury, health issues, etc., so it's really a gift to be able to get out there and try my best.

I love to run happy!!

I Run Happy every day I run with my friends! It becomes a fun way to catch up and the miles just tick by easy. :-D

congratulations!

I run happy with friends because it's time for some adult conversation. And I run happy solo because it means I don't have to talk to anyone, or make anyone a snack, or settle any sibling disputes. Either way it's the one thing I get to do in a day that's purely for myself. And I need that.

VictorIa said...

I run happy for my sanity. It's my therapy and my "me time" to decompress.

Laura Donnatella M. said...

I Run Happy because running changed my life forever. I was a chubby introverted girl who always felt not good enough, ugly and many other negative things. I run happy because now I know I am strong and powerful, powerful enough to run a marathon. Now I know what I am capable of, now I am unstoppable. Running Happy gave me my confidence, self esteem and my brightest smile back!

Of course I Run Happy, I get to run with my wife, family and our 4 legged running partners. The Brooks Ghosts keep my feet happy.

Congratulations! I run happy because how can you be sad on a day you get to run?

I "run happy" during my running because it's the time I get to myself, time to think and pray and just enjoy being in the outdoors!

ShanB said...

I'm a huge fan of brooks, just picked up probably my 10th pair of glycerins today! I run happy during races, always making a point to smile and thank all the spectators/volunteers. I've been called crazy for smiling so much during races but running makes me happy, no matter how slow or few the miles are.
