Top 25 Inspirational Running Blogs For Women in 2016
I was recently named one of the top 25 inspirational running blogs for women in 2016 by Blogtrepreneur. You can check out the entire article (and see who the other amazing women who made the list are) HERE. CAN YOU SAY AMAZEBALLS?!
Top 20 Runners on Instagram
I was also asked to help out on an article about my favorite running shoe a couple months back. Little did I know that RunningStats would name me one of the top 20 runners on Instagram in the article. Let's just say I opened my email and yelled "AWESOMESAUCE" when I clicked the link! You can read more about the running shoes of some of your favorite IG runners HERE.
For those of you who don't know (or have forgotten), I started blogging back in 2006. It was a few months after moving to Southern California as a way to keep all of my friends and family back in Michigan 'in the know' of what was going on since I had moved across the country. The blog began as a place to post a few surveys, share some articles that interested me and write a bit about what was going on in the 'Adventures of Carlee'. {Legit, I am pretty embarrassed by most of the original posts and have thought about going back and deleting them all, but it helps to serve as a reminder of how far I've come, so I leave them there for you all to look and laugh at.}
Once I started running in 2012, obviously the blog started to evolve a bit because my life was now more focused on training, running and racing. With my #FibroFog, I will often forget details fairly quickly after an event, so this has been a great place to record all the nitty-gritty details. (You may think the recaps are for others to use when deciding on whether a race is for them, when in actuality I use them annually to know if I want to re-run a race or not). It is still crazy to me that people other than just my parents care about what is going on in my life, but I am beyond blessed to have all of you continue to come back daily and share the love! YOU GUYS ROCK MY SOCKS!
And, that made me just think of something... I LOVE meeting blog readers! So, please, if you ever see me - whether it is at an expo or a meet-up, I promise I don't bite! Come say "HI", let's grab a selfie and chat it up. (I often will hear "I saw you at such-and-such a place but didn't want to come over and bother you." STOP IT RIGHT NOW! Sure, I write my blog for myself, but I appreciate each and every person that takes the time out of their busy schedule to care about what's going on in my journey. So there is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED to be nervous or think that it's "weird"... We are living in a digital world now, there's nothing strange about it. I can't tell you how many of my amazing friendships started because one of us had the courage to say "Hey, I follow you on social media and wanted to say 'HI'.")
Anywho, enough with the rambling, I just wanted to take a quick second to say that I am HONORED to be included in these lists. I don't write or keep up with my blog in hopes of fame or notoriety, but at the end of the day, it does make my heart smile to know that my words have a positive impact on those around me.
If you could be included in any list, which would you want to be on?

Any list would be a fun one! An instagram mention would be super cool! Congrats on making such great lists and good luck!
Congrats! I think the fact that your blog is so natural/organic/raw is the reason it's really popular. Well deserved recognition for sure!
That is so awesome that you're included on the lists! Congrats :)
