Friday, May 19th – Rest Day
Saturday, May 20th – Rest Day
Okay, here's to hoping this is the last week where you see 100% rest days (or at least rest days forced from injury/ sickness instead of taking time off after a race or fun adventure). The ribs are thankfully feeling better (I no longer am feeling pain with every step or breath I take, although I can still feel they aren't 100% when lifting something heavy or laying on my side) and I'm hoping to start jogging next week (or, if running jars them too much, hopefully the stationary bike will be an option). I will be grateful (and so stinkin' stoked) for whatever my body allows me to do in the coming days and promise not to push it too hard. Slow and steady wins (or at least often finishes) the race ;) Starting over is never easy or very fun (and here's to hoping I'm not back at zero), but every step forward is a step in the right direction.
