nuun immunity : Nuun's immunity propriety mix of botanicals and electrolytes aids in the protection of your immune system. With a balance of anti-inflammatories (including turmeric & ginger), free-radical fighting antioxidants (such as elderberry & echinacea), and their hydration-optimized blend of electrolytes, nuun immunity packs a triple punch in supporting immune health and protecting against common cold and flu symptoms.
I was stoked when a couple tubes arrived at my door step just days after returning from our Grand Canyon adventure!
During the summer I tend to be better about hydrating (maybe it's because I sweat a lot, and when I sweat it triggers a reminder that I need to be replenishing what my body is losing), but it's often just plain water. I was stoked to mix it up a bit while trying to boost my immune system (because, let's be real, as awesome as H2O is, it can get a little boring).
Each tablet contains: elderberry extract - plant-based antioxidant / organic turmeric - plant-based anti-inflammatory + antioxidant / echinacea purpurea - plant-based antioxidant / organic ginger powder - plant-based anti-inflammatory / zinc/selenium - antioxidants / vitamins a, c, d and e / antioxidants / electrolytes - magnesium, potassium, chloride, calcium, sodium / organic sugar - binder, sweetener, helps facilitate absorption of vitamins/minerals / citric acid - plays key role in effervescence, used for production / stevia leaf extract - zero-calorie, plant-based sweetener / avocado oil - clean, plant-based oil for production / rice concentrate - flow agent/anti-clumping agent, used for production.

I am happy to report that even after a crazy last couple months (including a three week road trip to the rainy and chilly PNW, running the Boston Marathon in some insane conditions, tackling the entire Grand Canyon in 16 hours, and busy, busy life in general) I have not gotten sick! Now I can't give all the credit to the new nuun, but it definitely didn't hurt!
There are currently two flavors available - Orange Citrus and Blueberry Tangerine. Maybe it's just me, but I felt like these had more flavor than the standard electrolyte tablets (sometimes I will put in two tablets of the electrolyte product because I want a stronger taste). They also had a little more "sediment" left in the cup as well. Now, that may sound bad, but it wasn't like I was chewing the grit or anything, but you could see some of the turmeric "flecks" once the tablet dissolved.
I'll be honest, the flavors aren't my favorite. Now, that's not to say I don't like them because I do, but I am more of a fruity/ berry fan instead of the citrus-y lover so if I was queen for a day I probably would've went a slightly different route with the flavor profiles. Out of the two current flavors, I would say that the Orange Citrus is actually my top choice (it was also the hubby's fave too). I haven't done it, but I bet you could make a hot tea with these if you felt like you were getting sick.
Do you have a regimen to help boost your immunity when you are starting to feel run down?

Yes, getting sick after a big event or high intensity training cycle is a real thing -- some drs call it the 'let down effect" although that always reminded me of breast feeing - haha. It can also cause flare ups of chronic conditions too -- anyway, so happy nuun has this new product to boost immunity :-)
