Temperance Day

Ryan is slightly sad that he will be missing the FLEA MARKET Extravaganza :) But if you are in the Temperance Area, check out DOWNTOWN TEMPERANCE DAY!

A day to celebrate Temperance

The seventh annual Downtown Temperance Day will take place next Saturday. The annual event draws large crowds at the garage sale, flea market and craft fair at Carr’s Grove Park. Sponsored by the Temperance Action Committee, Downtown Temperance Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 11.

A car show will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Ave., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entertainment will be provided outside Foodtown on Lewis Ave. and Washington St. To honor the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, a procession from Carr Community Center to St. Luke’s Church will take place. An honor guard from the Sherman H. Osborne Post 192, American Legion, will lead the procession. Church bells will ring for a minute followed by a moment of silence at noon.
