Monday, December 20th – Rest Day
Tuesday, December 21st – 8.08 mile run
Wednesday, December 22nd – 12.12 mile run
Thursday, December 23rd – Rest Day
Friday, December 24th – 6.5 mile run (1.25 with my dad, 5.25 solo)
Saturday, December 25th – Rest Day
In case you couldn't tell from the last picture (with SNOW), the hubby and I flew back to Michigan for Christmas, so I swapped around some of my runs. I told myself before we went that I didn't want to stress about forcing runs to happen, so I got in my 12-miler the morning we flew out and figured I'd be okay with a couple runs here or there if I could make them work. (Spoiler - I was able to make my runs work - YAY!) Friday's run was my first time running in Yaktrax. Like I tell most people, if I started running when I lived in Michigan, I don't know that I would have stuck with it. Running in snow or below freezing temperatures (next week's recap will have a 12 mile run that was in 18 degree temps) takes A LOT of dedication! But, golly gee, it is so interesting (at least to me) how quickly your body can adapt to its surroundings!
