Friday Favorites

Can you believe it's Friday and we aren't planning on going to our Mexican spot for dinner?! I know, crazy, right?! But the hubby and I had been wanting to try out a new-to-us pizza place (our tattoo artist's brother owns it) and we went there last night so we're forgoing Mexican tonight (we try to limit ourselves to eating out once a week). Anywho, just because I'm not eating my favorite food today doesn't mean I'll skip sharing some of my recent favorites with some of my favorite people!

Imagine Cover by Pentatonix

Okay, so if you've been around my corner of the InterWebs for a while, you probably know that I LOVE Pentatonix. I fell in love with them when they were on The Sing Off and have thoroughly enjoyed just about everything they've done since then (I even got their vinyl record this past year for Christmas!). Well, I saw one of their older videos was popping up on my Facebook feed and I HAD to check it out. It's a cover of John Lennon's Imagine. THEY ROCK MY SOCKS!

SDVoyager Interview

A few months ago SDVoyager reached out to me to do an interview. A friend of mine had recommended me and I was honored. They have an 'inspiring stories series' they asked me to be a part of. The interview went live earlier this week. Since they normally deal with brands or organizations, the questions are a little wonky (seeing as I am neither) especially since it's like they simply pasted the questions and answers with zero editing, but I still figured I'd share it with you.

National Trails System Act Anniversary

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the National Trails System Act. To celebrate, 5% of the sales of commemorative products from REI Co-op and Brooks will be donated to support our National Scenic Trails. There are three collections - the Continental Divide Trail Collection, the Pacific Crest Trail Collection and the Appalachian Trail Collection. I'm pretty sure I need it ALL (I mean, the more I shop, the more gets donated, right?!), but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the PCT color way! And in honor of the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System Act, REI is investing in all 11 National Scenic Trails. AMAZEBALLS, right?! You can read all about their investment HERE if you're interested!

Free Solo

My hubby is a rock climber, so I've been hearing about this documentary ever since they started releasing info about it, but yesterday the official trailer was released by National Geographic. Let's just say it's gonna be LEGIT! And I don't even think you need to be a climber to appreciate the amazingness behind Alex Honnold's feat. Now to wait till it's released.

What are you loving lately?
