It looks like your typical soup and sandwich shop, but it's a lot more to so many people. The restaurant has come up with an ingenious way to help feed the hungry.

For Chelsea Maich, working at Panera isn't about a paycheck. It's about having a purpose.

"I think it's awesome. I love coming to work every day. Before I was like, 'I got a job. I'm coming to work,'" said Maich. "Now we're helping people, and we see it every day."

The Panera on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn may look like all the others, but it's a lot different. There's something special happening there. That's why it's called Panera Cares.

It's all about making sure everyone who needs a meal gets one. Those who can afford it, those who can't and everyone in between.
