Rich Rodriguez cleans out his closet and helps those in need

WAYNE, Mich. (WXYZ) - Former University of Michigan Football Coach Rich Rodriguez is cleaning out his closet, and helping people in need.

The Salvation Army today accepted 12 bags of Michigan Football clothing from Rich Rod's personal wardrobe. The former coach wanted to do some good in the community with his unwanted Michigan items.

He brought the bags to The Salvations Army in Wayne. Major John Aren, Administrator for the region then visited the former coach at his home and thanked him for the donation.

Aren said the Coach and Mrs. Rodriguez were most receptive and rendered their best wishes to those who may be helped as a result of the donation.

The items will be featured in the “Coach’s Closet”, a festive tent sale in the parking lot of the Wayne store from 12:00 pm to 2:00pm this Saturday, January 15th.
