Dating ABCs: D

Now, if you know me, or if you have been following my blog for a while, you know I LOVE DISNEY! It just makes me feel like such a kid again. SO OF COURSE I HAD TO TRY AND TALK RYAN INTO GOING TO DISNEYLAND FOR OUR D DATE.

Our annual passes had expired in October and we didn't plan on renewing them. Since we rescued Walt The Wiener Dog in April we hadn't been up to DL in a while, so figured we would hold off on getting passes again for a bit longer. But, come on, you and I both know that Dating through the Alphabet would have been incomplete without a D=Disneyland!

Well, hubby to the rescue! He came up with a couple great ideas about what to do with the doggy. First, did you know there is a Kennel Club at Disneyland?! You can actually keep your puppy right there at DL, come by and take him for a walk, etc. For only $20 a day, we figured that would be great if we wanted to do a full day at the park. Also, some of our friends recently moved up to Fullerton from Carlsbad (due to school) and they said we could bring Walt by their place while we were at the parks. [We took them up on their offer this time - it was so awesome of them to open up their home to our pup.]

**Quick side note - yesterday was Megan from Running Toward The Prize's 30th Birthday! She is another Disney lover, so I thought I would bring a sign with me and send her pictures throughout the day. LITTLE DID I KNOW there are restrictions on sign sizes... We walked into the park and then while we were waiting for our friends to come through the attendant asked to see my sign. I was rather proud of it, so showed it off (even showed him the hidden Mickey I added). They told me that it couldn't be larger than 8.5"x11". I told them that I had no idea, suggesting if I folded it in half it would have been under those regulations. After a little bit of back and forth with other employees (they were joking who was the screener and who missed me walking through) they let me go. I told them that I would fold it up while in the park, take a quick picture, and then throw it away (I didn't want anyone getting in trouble). I would have loved to take the sign into Disney and maybe get a picture with Mickey, but I didn't want to cause an issue, so I took a couple quick shots with the sign in California Adventure and then had to recycle it.**

Happy Birthday to Megan at the Tower of Terror!

Happy Birthday to Megan at Paradise Pier!

Ry always kicks my butt at Astro Blasters... No exception on our date...

The castle already has snow on it! YAY!

Cassi and I (not sure who our third amiga is in the shot :) )

Matterhorn Mondays :)

Ryan wanted to get video of the yeti, but guess it was just a video of the back of my head :)

We didn't even plan it, but Ry and I both did the same face :)

Haunted Mansion during the holidays IS MY FAVORITE!

We got stuck in the graveyard for a few extra seconds, so Ry took a video of the pumpkins singing :)

On the way home from Disneyland we decided to stop at another D, the Dana Point Harbor. (We wanted to walk to pup before the sun went down and knew we wouldn't get all the way home in time.) The sunset was so pretty that we had to grab a couple more pictures.

Sometimes Walt can be so majestic

Sun setting - no filters, just pure beauty!

We asked a few women to take our picture, but they came out pretty dark because the sun set in the background, I guess this was the best one of their multiple shots :)

One of us always seems to be blurry...

Ry lightened us up a little so you could see us more in the foreground

Now on to E [haven't thought about it yet, but it might be a little tricky]!

Disneyland is my favorite and when my husband survived a 3 day trip with non-stop action and never once complained, I knew for absolute certain he was my Happily Ever After!

I know it's a bit of a drive from where you live. But, for the letter "E" you could choose a date at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood to see "Thor: The Dark World." A few blocks up from the theatre, at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and La Brea, you could get a picture with Elvis Presley's star on the walk of fame. There might even be a Elvis Presley impersonator walking around in front of the Hollywood and Highland complex.
