They Came at Night

This is NOT FOR YOU! It is a film that is being shown around Africa to prepare communities to peacefully receive those trying to escape from the LRA. [Even though it is not for you, watching it sheds a light on what is going on in Central Africa and why what Invisible Children is doing is SO important!]

About They Came at Night

Invisible Children and DTJ partnered to create They Came At Night, a story about an abducted child soldier in central Africa who risks his life in an attempt to flee from Joseph Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) after years of captivity. Based on a collection of true stories, the film is shown to communities throughout central Africa that are at constant risk of attack or abduction by the LRA. The purpose of screening these films is to sensitize local communities and show how defection, reintegration, and forgiveness are the most promising ways to end the violence. Truly mobile cinema, it is screened for communities on anything from a bed sheet to an inflatable screen.
