Flower Fields

Ryan and I are going to venture to the Carlsbad Flower Fields this weekend. For most of you, I'm sure you have no idea what these are, but they are HUGE around here. It is a wonderful annual display of horticultural beauty that opens in March and welcomes visitors into a sea of floral color and aromatic delights. You get to view the 50-plus acres of breathtaking Giant Tecolote Ranunculus, abundant roses in the All American Rose Garden, the world famous Ecke poinsettias and tour the entire ranch on an exciting tractor ride that is fun for the whole family, young and old. The Flowers Fields is the only commercial ranunculus field in the world that is open to the public. The Flower Fields entertains and educates visitors of all ages from morning to dusk with flourishing gardens and community activities. The last day of the season is Sunday so I wanted to make sure we were able to check them out before that. You can see the huge display driving along the express way, since they are on a hill. I will take a ton of photos I'm sure, my mom suggested that my Grandmas would love to see them so I think I will try to take some really good one and frame the pics for them. Check out the site if you have time: http://www.theflowerfields.com/
