JEANINE!Jeanine Mason is 'So You Think You Can Dance' winner
Her mom made her do it.
Jeanine Mason, who was able to express her warm personality through her stellar dancing, rode that winning combination to victory on "So You Think You Can Dance" Thursday.
But she wasn't always as thrilled to be dancing as she was last night.
The 18-year-old from Pinecrest, Florida, had revealed on the show that her mother had to force her to keep going to dance classes while she was growing up.
After host Cat Deeley announced that she was the top vote-getter on the reality show's fifth season, Jeanine said "I don't know what it was that led you to push me mom, but thank you mom, whatever that was."
While the judges had been coy about their predictions of who would be crowned the winner, they all said after Wednesday's show - the last round of competition before the voting - that Jeanine was "peaking at the right time," as Mary Murphy put it.
