GvR

Ryan and I will be going to the etnies GvR (Goofy vs. Regular, which describes the way that someone surfs, snowboards, skates, etc... It tells you which foot is forward, which way they stand) Surf Contest this weekend. If I haven't mentioned, Sole Technologies, which is where Ryan works, is the parent company of etnies, which is how Ryan found out about the event (and also got us some hook-ups for food and whatnot).
Some info about the contest: This one-of-a-kind surfing event matches up the goofy foot surfers up against their regular foot counterparts in an action-packed contest format. Some of the world’s best surfers are already committed, and the swell is coming in just in time! Oceanside Pier is the spot—we’d love to see you there. etnies GvR is free for all to attend! Saturday, October 20: GvR Qualifiers, MxPx, and the etnies GvR Party, presented by Lost Energy Drink and New Era. First round heats run from 8am to 1pm, and second round heats go from 1:20 to 4pm. MxPx plays at 5pm, and the party at the Flying Bridge goes from 9pm to 1am!Sunday October 21: GvR Main Event and Finals: Main Event Heats run from 9am to 12noon, and the 30-minute Finals Heats—one for Regular and one for Goofy—begin at 12:30 and 1pm, with awards immediately following.
Ryan is pretty stoked to see the contest, and I am pretty pumped to be out in the sun, as well as to see MxPx perform and all the funness (PS I know funness isn't a word, but it's MY blog, so I can make up my own words, huh?)!
