Fastpass to Meet Mickey at Walt Disney WorldMickey Mouse is joining the ranks of Fastpass attractions at Magic Kingdom such as Space Mountain. For the first time this spring, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is going to let guests use a timed pass to meet the iconic mouse.
The change will happen when Mickey moves into a new permanent meet-and-greet location in Town Square. Disney did not disclose an exact date.
Magic Kingdom guests will be able to obtain a Disney Fastpass ticket specifying a one-hour window when they can meet Mickey for hugs, photos and autographs.
Disney says it's the first time it has made the computerized Fastpass service available for a character meet-and-greet at any Disney theme park.
Currently, guests can do the highly popular visit with Mickey Mouse in Tomorrowland, to the right of Space Mountain. Mickey's Toontown Fair, where the character previously met with fans, closed last week to make way for an expansion of Fantasyland.
