DEL MAR - Eight bundles of marijuana weighing a total of about 100 pounds were discovered Wednesday morning on the sand in Del Mar, a sheriff's sergeant said.
The discovery at the foot of 11th Street was reported around 4 a.m., San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Gary Steadman said.
A life vest was also found near the bundles, he said.
