Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe time celebrating the ringing in of the New Year. It was quite strange this year actually. I have always been in Michigan when the ball dropped in Time Square, so of course when I watched it on TV it was live. This is the first time I have had to watch a re-run of the ball dropping. Then, we were flipping through the channels and they had it on again, but the ball was dropping at like 12:38 or something like that (it seems as though they must have started it a little too late and no one caught it?). Oh well, no matter if it is a re-run of the ball falling or not, the New Year comes. I did not resolve to do anything special this year, since from the sounds of it Americans as a whole cannot keep their resolutions (so why try if I know I am going to fail - I hate failure). Sometimes I joke that I'm quitting smoking, the joke is I've never smoked, so I guess that is one resolution I have kept :). I'm sure this new year will bring with it many new triumphs and trials, but I guess I should just welcome it with open arms. So, WELCOME 2007, WELCOME.
