20 Facts About Me

I was tagged by @RunStretchGo on Instagram the other day. I thought instead of a really long Instagram post (which I doubt anyone would fully read), I'd post it on my blog (and maybe people still wouldn't read it ;)).

1. I have 1 sibling (even though he is younger than me, he is definitely taller).

2. During college I worked at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL for 2 summers (the first selling Dippin' Dots and the second working at the Twister attraction).

3. I have run 3 full marathons (1st: Santa Cruz - May 2014, 2nd: WDW Marathon {part of Dopey} - January 2015, 3rd: Phoenix - February 2015) and am training for my 4th (Eugene - May 2015).

4. 4 days after graduating college I packed 2 bags and moved from Michigan to Southern California (without knowing anyone and only having a summer internship).

5. A little over a week ago I ran with 5 other amazing women and finished my first Ragnar Relay Race (The ULTRA version no less! We won AND helped to raise $54,000 for Rett Syndrome!).

6. I graduated from the University of Michigan with an Economics degree in 2006.

7. In High School I played soccer and was number 7.

8. My longest run was about 8 miles prior to my first half marathon (due to my IT Band revolting against me during my training).

9. I currently have 9 tattoos.

10. My birthday is September 10th.

11. In 2011, Ryan and I went to Coast Rica... WE HAD WON THE TRIP FROM DOLE'S (the banana and pineapple company) FACEBOOK PAGE!

12. The 12th month of the year (December) is my favorite month. I LOVE the glow of twinkle lights, Christmas decorations, and who can be sad while singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer?

13. During the summer of 2010 I spent 13 days in Haiti (about 6 months after the earthquake hit) with Outside The Bowl (and of course I had a blog dedicated to it - http://carleegoingtohaiti.blogspot.com/).

14. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia when I was around 14 years old.

15. The Star Wars Half Marathon, which I ran in January, was my 15th Half Marathon I have run (my first was the 2012 Disneyland Half Marathon). (As of today I have run a total of 16.)

16. Ryan and I got engaged on February 16th and married on August 16th.

17. Due to where my birthday falls and the cut-off, I started college at the age of 17 (I was a youngin' in my grade, but because Ryan grew up in a different state, he was an oldie in his grade even though his birthday is 3 days after mine).

18. I never took Driver's ED. I waited until I was 18 and went to the Secretary of State to take the driving tests.

19. I tried counting MANY different items in my house to come up with a "19" fact - Sparkly Soul Headbands (15), Sparkle Athletic Skirts (23), Pro Compression Socks (33 pairs), and then noticed my Inbox has 19 emails... I HATE HAVING EMAILS IN MY INBOX! That means I haven't taken care of them... Better get to those right after I post this!

20. During college, instead of drinking tea or coffee, I would take a 20 ounce Diet Mountain Dew with me to my morning classes. (I gave up pop about 3.5 years ago, but that sweet nectar was hard to kick ;))
