Handwritten letters [I love putting little notes in the mail for people - first, because I enjoy sending love through a not, but second, because I know that I love opening the mailbox and having something other than bills or junk. My gramma sent Ryan and I a little letter earlier this week (thanking us for a little book we sent her about hummingbirds and explaining all about the birds and flowers in her backyard). I know that we live in the 'digital age' where you can email or text just about everything you want, but something still has to be said for the basic, handwritten letter.]
Encouraging emails [This past week was rough for me, mostly to do with running and my body. I have some amazing friends and received some awesomely encouraging emails from them this week. I am normally the 'encourager', so sometimes it is hard for me to ask for help or encouragement, but am totally grateful for it when it comes my way.]
Date nights [If you know Ryan and I, then you know we are pretty ridiculous. We like to do things that most people don't do - fly kites, go to the park and swing, hit up Michael's for a little project to make, or buy Kid's Packs at the movie theaters even though we have no kids. I am so blessed and thankful to have a goof-ball partner that loves he little things and can make a date night (or day) out of just about anything.]
