Ryan and I were able to hit up a Sports Bar (Lamp Post Pizza) and see the game Saturday afternoon. YAY!! This is one time of the year that I really wish I had cable, but I guess reading the re-caps online will have to do for now. :)
PS I think Maxiell made Ryan a believer... I have always been a strong Jason Maxiell fan, but Ryan didn't know much about him... I think we have another #54 fan :)
Howard fails to put up big numbers as Billups, Pistons win Game 1
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Pistons beat up Orlando physically and mentally.
They shoved Dwight Howard out of his comfort zone and pushed the Magic's buttons during heated exchanges, leading to Detroit's 91-72 win Saturday night in Game 1 of their second-round series.
"Mentally, we have to keep our heads," Howard said. "Detroit is going to talk and push. We knew that coming in, but we got too frustrated."
The game got heated at times, leading to technicals against Rasheed Wallace along with Orlando's Hedo Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis.
"You can't rattle us," Wallace said. "We ain't no punks."
