Friday Favorites

Awwwwwwww yeah! It's that day of the week when I compile a quick list of some of my 'current' favorite things! I know I love getting REAL endorsements from friends (not paid advertisements), so I figured you'd probably appreciate some #RealTalk from your's truly ;) So, without further ado... My #FridayFavorites for the week:

runDisney Meet-Ups

If you've been around my neck of the InterWebs for a while, then you probably know I enjoy me a runDisney race or seven ;) Not only are the races tons of fun (and dressing up in costume is encouraged), but what I love THE MOST about the events are, HANDS DOWN, the PEOPLE! If you're in the Disneyland/ Anaheim area this weekend (whether you are running any of the TinkerBell races or not), you should hit up the #WeRunSocial Meet-Up on Saturday sponsored by PRO Compression and Sparkle Athletic! (I also would've recommended the #TeamSparkle Donut Meet-Up, but by the time you read this it will probably be too late, so I don't want to rub the awesomeness in your face ;))

Unicorns & Rainbows

I saw Sparkle Athletic posted a teaser earlier this week of an upcoming skirt... AND IT'S RAINBOWS AND UNICORNS! They've released some pretty fantastic ones lately (Donuts, Dogs in Space, Cupcakes and even a Trails Are Calling Tank), but this one is definitely TOP on my MUST HAVE list! Thankfully the world didn't have to wait too long for the new skirt to hit the website (only about a day after the tease) and I already placed my order yesterday as soon as it went live!

Outdoor Movies

This week the #MayGray really started to roll in, which makes it hard to imagine that summer is right around the corner, but it'll be here before we know it! And with it comes more and more outdoor activities. I love when communities host outdoor movie nights... and Oceanside is no exception. I saw on the @oceansiderec Instagram account that the schedule has been released! I'm thinking we need to put at least once of these on our calendar for the summer!

Staying Safe

I wish I could say that nothing bad will ever happen to you, but I have no idea. The best thing to do is to pray that everything is rainbows and unicorns, but also prepare in case something unfortunate does occur. One way to be prepared (especially for us runners, bikers, etc) is to have a RoadID. This little ID can talk for you if you are ever unable to talk for yourself. You can put all of your pertinent information on it (name, phone number, emergency contact, medical information, etc) just in case an accident does occur. (There are other companies out there that offer similar products, I just happen to have a ton of the RoadID Wrist ID Sports {I think I have them in seven colors}, so that's why I mention that one.)
