Disneyland Adventures

I don't know if you remember or not, but the hubby and I let our Disneyland Annual Passes expire in November. It was a sad day, but we knew we could be using the money better elsewhere so decided not to renew for the upcoming year.

We had been talking about possibly getting the 3-Day SoCal Passes that are being sold at our local grocery stores so we could get in our Disney fix, but just haven't had time or gotten around to it. So, when my sweet friend Jillian mentioned she had an extra ticket I JUMPED at the opportunity (sorry hubby, maybe next time you can tag along ;))!

From one of our previous trip to the parks together :)
You can read about our Disney dates if you want: May 2015, September 2015

Jillian lives in Florida, so wanted to take advantage of every moment she had while she was in town visiting. The game plan was to meet at her hotel by 8:30am (since the parks opened at 9). I had a 30 minute recovery run on the calendar, so I decided to set the alarm for 5am to get it done before heading up to Anaheim for the day (after being on your feet, walking around the parks all day, the last thing I want to do is go for a run). I made my way to the beach, got in my run and was back to the house to jump in the shower by 6:15am.

I was expecting traffic to be bad (I mean, it is Southern California during commuter rush-hour), so left myself about 75 minutes to get to Disney from the house. Unfortunately there was a bit of precipitation falling from the sky which turned my drive into more like a 100 minute crawl, but thankfully it all worked out!

I pulled into the hotel parking lot by 9:40am and met up with Jillian for a fun filled day of friends, laughter and memories!

We made sure to live it up... Riding some rides {Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Heimlich's Chew Chew Train, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride}...

The wildest ride in the wilderness may be our favorite!

Single rider is ALWAYS the way to go!

This picture started off as a joke... until the train jerked and I almost
fell out of my seat... then I was really frightened! ;)

Trying Mickey shaped snacks {I heard everything tastes better when it's the shape of a mouse)...

The ladies wanted to start the say with some beignets and I capped off the afternoon with a Mickey pretzel!

Meeting and greeting with characters {Aurora, Mickey and Walt and then Mickey again}...

#ManCrushMonday (or at least MouseCrush...)

Yup, I am "that" girl who goes to see Mickey on her own!

Waiting for and watching parades {this may be on of Jillian and I's favorite past times to do together at the parks ;)}...

Soundsational!

I even found some #CarleesTreasures {which I was NOT expecting because they are always cleaning around Disney}...

$.13 and a butterfly charm (the back says "created for you")

And you can't forget about the quintessential Disney photos while you're there!

"though she be but little, she is fierce"

We hung out at the Cove Bar for a bit and I loved this view of Paradise Pier

#AllTheColors

All in all I've been up for 18 hours and these feet of mine covered over 13 miles but it was worth every moment!

The hubby got these Vans for me for my birthday two years ago and they are a MUST every time I go to Disney!

Getting the chance to hang out with some of my friends in the Happiest Place on Earth is FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC (especially when they live so far away)! I've said it once, I'll say it a billion times, I have some AMAZING friends and am BEYOND BLESSED! Thanks again to Jillian (Krissy & Jenny) for the great day! #UntilNextTime #SeeYaRealSoon

When was the last time you've been to a theme park?

So much fun. We are never too old to feel like a kid at Disney!
