#TeamROADiD Ambassador

When I started running I knew I needed to make sure I had safety nets in place (not only in case something happened, but also to alleviate the worry from my mom and hubby). One of my first running purchases (after shoes) was a ROAD iD

I guess you can tell I like some "wrist candy" ;)

I wish I could say nothing bad will ever happen to you, but I don't have a crystal ball that allows me to see into the future. The best thing to do is to pray that everything is rainbows and unicorns, but also prepare in case something unfortunate does occur. One way to be prepared (especially for us runners, bikers, adventurers, etc) is to have a ROAD iD. This snazzy (and cute) Medical ID can talk for you if you are ever unable to talk for yourself. You can put all of your pertinent information on it (name, phone number, emergency contact, medical information, etc) just in case an accident does occur.
The brand's mission is two-fold: One, to educate outdoor enthusiasts about the importance of having/ wearing ID. Two, to provide athletes with innovative identification products that they'll want to include as part of their gear. Their dream is to see the day where wearing ID is as common among athletes as wearing a seatbelt is among motorists.

For the past 5ish years I've been rocking the Sport ID (I have tiny wrists and those were the only ones available at the time I could small enough). I legit have seven colors (because I have to be #RunMatchy with my running gear, right?!).

I finally upgraded to the Elite ID a few months back and am STOKED! Not only do you get to cut the band as long as you need so it fits specifically on your wrist, but they also have fun badges you can add to customize your ID (I have one with a heart and one that says 'run')! Now if I could just get them to bring back to aqua/ turquoise colored band I'd be all set ;)

I normally don't wear it upside-down, but didn't want everyone having my
personal info... #CanNeverBeTooCareful

And before I proceed, I have to give them a few more props. At ROAD iD, they truly believe in making a positive difference in the world. They mainly do this by creating awesome products that save lives and empower adventure, but they also love supporting causes they believe in and that share their mission. You see, giving back isn’t some secondary obligation - it’s a core value and a reason to exist. They call this aspect “Unicorns”. It's their pledge to donate a percentage of every order to a worthy organization, and since these donations cannot occur without your purchase, they let YOU decide which charity benefits. In your shopping cart, simply select the charity closest to your heart and they do the rest (it's FREE to you!). They've donated more than $1,000,000, and with your help, there’s plenty more where that came from!

Not only does ROAD iD offer wrist IDs, shoe IDs and even pet IDs, but they also have apparel, not to mention gift cards!

And although I can talk up this company till I'm blue in the face, I also have some pretty FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC news!

Drumroll please...

They've asked ME to be a part of #TeamROADiD! (Okay, you probably guessed that from the title of this post, but still, I'm STOKED to make it official.) The project has been in the works for quite some time and they finally rolled it out - WHOO HOO! This is the first year of the ambassador program and I couldn't be more honored to be included in the initial crew!

And although I will be making out like a bandit with this relationship (#SorryNotSorry), there are also some AWESOME perks in it for you as well! Don't worry, I won't forget you and let this all go to my head ;) I will have TONS of giveaways throughout the year {plus a HUGE birthday giveaway} and a 20% off discount link for all my friends/ family/ followers.

Here's to an AMAZING 2019 for ROAD iD and ME - and you too, of course - where we positively impact those around us!

Do you currently carry ID with you when you are running/ biking/ adventuring?

Awesome! Congratulations!! What a great product. I have the Road ID velcro straps in blue, orange, and pink because I have the opposite problem: huge wrists and need room for all the arm candy, so I need it BIG! I also have one that slides over the silicon charity bracelets (you know, the kind that LiveStrong made popular). My favorite feature is the medical part, where you can keep your medical information in your profile and the EMTs can call a special number to get EVERYTHING--what medications you're taking, what medical issues you have, who your regular doctor is--which is AMAZEBALLS. (One of my former bosses was cycling and got hit by a truck, and the Road ID legit saved his life with that feature.) Naturally I got one for Dad, too! Congratulations on being part of Team RoadiD!

Congrats, teammate! I'm also a member of Team Road ID and I'm so excited. I bought my first one about 12 years ago (and one for my hubby too) when I was riding my bike a lot. I also upgraded to the elite a couple years ago and I love it so much. I want all the badges!

I currently have the road id shoe tags. I have really tiny wrists and could never wear the other kinds without being unhappy with the fit. All of my aussies have the road id tags on their running harnesses too! I love having ID so if anything happened to me or the dogs, help could be found.
