Rest Days

Why are they so difficult?

Source

Maybe it is just me... {Hey, I guess it isn't, seeing as I was just on Pinterest looking for a couple pictures for this post and found a plethora of images to choose from :) I'M NOT WEIRD! Okay, maybe I AM weird, but not because rest days aren't my favorite.}

For some reason I feel soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lazy on rest days.

And it's not like I am just laying in bed, eating bon-bons while my imaginary maid fans me with a palm frond. I am normally doing things like getting groceries, cleaning the house, enjoying time with my hubby and puppy, potentially getting an extra hour of sleep (this only tends to happen if my rest day ends up on a weekend and if the sun decides to take an extra long nap as well), going to friends' children's sporting events, etc.

Rest days are supposed to be where your body recuperates. I know, I know, they are good for you.... You should enjoy them... But why is it that I feel like I am missing out?

Obviously I should NOT compare myself to others, but when it's a rest day for me and I check my Instagram or Twitter feeds and see everyone's workouts for the day it makes me yearn to get my shoes and get out the door.

I am sure it is just a mental switch that I need to throw - like truly comprehend how they are "good" for me instead of thinking of it as a punishment. It's like I see rest days as a day I CANNOT workout instead of a day I am ABLE to rest. Sometimes the perspective shifts are the hardest to make, huh?

Do you enjoy your rest days?

Rest days!!! Hell yes homie! You cray cray. Take that rest day and use it! If you gottah do something, go for a walk, or a hike or a swim?? low key though, that's my 2 cents. Btw, you know how they say puppies make people smile. Whenever I wanna laugh, I go pull up your bingo face! classic ish! Later C!

I'm so glad my BINGO face brings a smile to yours :) You are laughing WITH me, not AT me, right?! :)
