Reef Experience

When Ryan's dad asked us to come back to Michigan for the brewery opening, Ryan looked at his calendar. He saw that the Reef Open House was on Thursday and said that we wouldn't miss it. I was slightly confused as to why we would miss a night at a brewery opening for a work thing, but quickly came to realize that it wasn't just a corporate event. Xavier Rudd (a musician that Ryan has been a fan of since college) and Reef had collaborated on a project (thanks to Dersu) and Xavier was coming to the open house for a performance. I ALMOST FORGOT, RYAN GOT HIS DIDGERIDOO SIGNED BY XAVIER TOO!! YAY!!

The night was filled with good food, friends, fun, and awesome music. We decided not to bring our nice camera, since there are so many artists there that had cool cameras, so all of the pictures and videos are from Ryan's iPhone. Sorry about the sound quality of the videos, but I guess that's what happens what you are in the front row at a small show - and when they turn a warehouse office into a music venue :)

A little video:

Oh yeah, and then Rob Machado came up and played with Xavier (they covered No Woman No Cry by Bob Marley):

Below is the little news blurb released about the event (PS RYAN WOULD BE REAL MAD IF I DIDN'T MENTION THAT HE WAS UP ON THE ROOF AT REEF ABOUT 8 TIMES THAT DAY HANGING THAT BIG BANNER - BUT DOESN'T IT LOOK AWESOME?!):
