February of 2009

For Christmas Ryan was telling me that his family was getting some group gift. He said that it was going to be a surprise and when Christmas rolled around they ended up opening up little clues that helped them to guess what the gift was (apparently Eric guessed it, hasn't gotten a prize for guessing it and is still quite bitter, hehe, just kidding). The gift was a timeshare with Marriott in the Virgin Islands. I don't know much about how it works, but apparently you can use your timeshare week there (through the one that the family choose in St. Thomas) or anywhere else that Marriott has a timeshare set up. Ryan told me that I was included in this gift, but I wasn't really expecting to be. I received an email from The McClurgs Saturday that said they had booked the trip and that we were all invited to go to St. Thomas for a week in February of next year!! How exciting!! I have never really been out of the country (I have been to Canada for a family vacation to the Toronto baseball field and to Mexico for a mission trip with CrossRoads, but nothing to really like go out and visit). I am super excited (even though it is about a year away still), YAY!! I found the website for the timeshare area, so check it out if you get a chance (or are interested).

Tucked along a picturesque hillside overlooking the calm azure waters of Pacquereau Bay, Marriott's Frenchman's Cove will be a breathtaking complement to the beauty of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Adjacent to Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort this spacious resort will be reminiscent of a quaint village surrounded by a secluded beach with amazing views of the Bay and St. Thomas harbor. Like the nearby historic town of Charlotte Amalie, the overall design reflects the Danish and British architectural influences set admidst a colorful tropical landscape.
