Day 9 of #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas

Today is Day 9 of my #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas! And the prize today is pretty FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC! Although, to be honest, all of the prizes are absolutely AMAZEBALLS! If I could enter my own giveaways I'm pretty sure I would enter each and every one of them in this series (and somehow rig it so I'd win) because they are just that AWESOMESAUCE.

For today, DAY NINE, nine winners will each win a pair of sunglasses of their choice (as long as they are in-stock, non-custom and don't exceed a price of $25 {it may seem restrictive, but there are TONS that fit those stipulations}).

Confession: In the past, the majority of my sunglasses were freebies (I literally think I only bought one pair in my collection and they were like $15 from Target). Seeing as they're cheap, I didn't worry about losing, scratching or breaking them. They're sort of like chapstick... They're a necessity, but I'm shocked if I can see 'em through till the end. With that said, when I found out about the kick-butt brand (and local - YAY for San Diego companies), Knockaround, I was SOLD!

My first delivery from Knockaround contained some definite winners, wouldn't you say?!

Living in SoCal, we wear sunglasses the majority of the year (in case you didn't know, we occasionally have to deal with some sub-par weather - mostly "May Gray" and "June Gloom" - but 90% of the year it's in the 60/70s and sunshiny). As opposed to the HIGH sunshine tax we're forced to pay, I see wearing sunnies as a small price to pay for paradise.

The hubby and I love rocking our Knockarounds! We both give the sunnies (and the people who work there) two thumbs up. I'd say on any given day, there's a 95% chance we're both rocking Knockarounds. They've been used while hiking Half Dome, working out in the rain, walking with the pup, running to Yosemite Falls, lounging at the pool, racing and just living life. The hubby even was lucky enough to order a pair of their prescription glasses before they discontinued that option!

May Gray brought some drizzle during one of our runs. Wearing sunnies helped so I wasn't getting pelted in the eyes by the drops!

I think my favorite model are the Classics (I like the thicker arms, they seem to stay in place a little better while running) and the hubby loves the Polarized feature. The colors are AMAZEBALLS and the fact that you can customize your sunnies (you can get as cray-cray as you'd like) is FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC! The possibilities are literally ENDLESS!
