We Got The Adventure Mobile

Ryan finally popped on an adventure mobile. I know we have been talking about it for a while, but we finally found one we liked at the right price and were able to grab it up.

Ryan found a 1967 Dodge A108 Sportsmobile Van. It was up in Riverside, CA. Ryan had been talking to the guy for a couple days and was able to set up a time on Sunday to go check it out. Since he would need to be able to drive it home, my mom and I drove up with him so we could check it out yesterday.

It is PRETTY SWEET! We were joking that it sort of looked like a Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo and then low-and-behold they actually had a sticker of that in the back window!

We ended up buying it from a guy that got it from the original owner (the guy that we bought it from was going to use it, but then decided to just ‘flip it’, so technically it has only had one real owner before us). It is in AWESOME condition, especially for it being 46 years old. It came with all of the original manuals and all kinds of cool stuff.

I will have to take more pictures soon, but at least you can see it below. 

Now of course it is going to get some taking used to (no power steering, no antilock brakes, etc), but it is AMAZING!! We are so excited to start getting it all dolled up and take it on some adventures.
