Bummer?

So yesterday Ryan came down to visit (since he will be gone to Japan for the next couple weeks we thought we could grab dinner and whatnot). We went to CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) because Ryan loves it. Then I had heard on the radio that the Chargers were having open training camp, where you could go to their practice field and watch them. In my mind I was picturing like Ryan, me and 4 other people there just watching. I thought it would be cool to check out, so after dinner I drove us over to their practice field. I was NOT expecting what was there when we got there. Cars and people for MILES. I guess it was more widely publicized than I thought. We drove up and down the street for about 10 minutes and then decided, nah. I was a little upset, just cause I was picturing something much different in my mind, a much lower key, intimate little practice. Oh well. I guess watching them on TV during the season and hearing the games (since I love above the Q) is good enough. Then Ryan and I watched TV for a little bit while we waited to go down to the beach and see if we could find the GRUNIONS. We waited down there for 45 minutes or so and it was a BUST. The beach was nice, but we didn't find any fishey. Sadness. We ended up leaving the beach around 12:30, which means I didn't get back to my apartment until about 12:45 and I don't even know when Ryan got home (probably closer to 1:15 or 1:30am)... It was nice to see Ryan for another couple hours, but we didn't walk away with much to show for it :)
