Friday Favorites

This week FLEW by, but I guess that's what happens when you are out of town Saturday through Monday and then have a ton of stuff to catch up on (like having to deal with the credit card company when your credit card number gets stolen, catching up on all the laundry from said mini-vacation, restocking the house with food that you let empty out when you knew you'd be leaving on a roadtrip, getting ready for another race weekend, etc). Some weeks tend to drag on and on, but this week I often found myself wishing for at least an extra hour or seven in the day to get everything accomplished that I had on my to-do list. Anywho, the show must go on, so let's get on with your regularly scheduled program ;)

Football Season

Some people may love the fall season because of the pumpkin flavor food items that come back to market (I'll be honest, pumpkin flavor is NOT my jam... but that just means there's more for you, right?!), but one of my favorite things about fall is FOOTBALL! Growing up in the Midwest (and going to a Big Ten school) definitely helped ingrain the love of the gridiron into my soul. We may have missed the first game of the season because we were off-the-grid, but you better believe the hubby and I will be plopped in front of the TV for the rest of the Michigan Wolverines' season! #GoBlue

This Is Your Moment Momentum Wraps

Fall is a perfect time to welcome the new 'this is YOUR moment' Momentum collection! Three new sayings to serve as a reminder to approach both opportunities AND challenges with a positive outlook AND hope. And three new colors (Boysenberry, Nutmeg, and Blue Spruce) to match the changing colors of the season. What are you waiting for? Whatever your dream, your goals, your "someday" plans - it's time for action. To just DO. To start where you are and simply BEGIN.

RoadID Savings

I know I've mentioned RoadID before, but I love their product (and the brand in general). They’re simple, stylish IDs that provide peace of mind for you or loved ones. Perfect for life’s many adventures! One of their social media managers actually reached out to me because I had tagged their Elite ID in a #Carlees34 picture and they offered to send me three gift cards I could use in my acts of kindness - how awesome is that?! In case you didn't get your hands on one of them, I still have a great deal to pass along! Day of the Girl Challenge

I received an email earlier this week from Ragnar about an upcoming challenge and I had to share it with you! Ragnar has met an inspiring, talented group of girls that are trying to build their own long-distance relay in Bekoji, Ethiopia. To help make that dream a reality, they are hosting a new Ragnar Challenge on Oct. 11, 2018 which happens to coincide with the International Day of the Girl. This challenge supports Girls Gotta Run, the non-profit organization that provides opportunities to these girls in Bekoji to use running and education to empower themselves and their communities. The funds raised for the Day of the Girl Challenge will be used to help the Bekoji girls host their own relay in early 2019. They are hoping 1,500 people each run 5.7 miles (collectively that's 8,624 miles — the distance from the Ragnar Headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT to Bekoji, Ethiopia). If they meet the goal of 8,642 miles, Ragnar will make an $8,000 donation to Girls Gotta Run organization to fund their relay event happening in early 2019 (any additional miles or donations will go towards funding additional scholarships). This is a free event. If you choose, you can donate directly to the charity. Or you can purchase the commemorative bracelets (you receive 2), and proceeds go towards funding the relay.

What are you loving lately?

I know college football already started but I just didn't make time to plop down and actually watch last week. Maybe this week, I'll actually get to it since I'll be recovering from my long run lol. Definitely ready for fall weather to go along with the football though!
