Friday Favorites

It's FRIDAY! And not just ANY Friday, but the Friday of Rock 'N' Roll San Diego! This weekend is gonna be FULL of fun, but before we can get to any of it I'm gonna share some of the things I have been digging lately (because hopefully you may love them too). So, without further ado (since I still have to pack for this weekend's epic adventure)...

Cotopaxi

I found this brand thanks to Jennifer (@jbirdruns) - although I doubt my wallet will be thanking her ;). She recently got one of their windbreakers and as soon as I saw the color-ways I was IN LOVE! Then I went to their website and found out that not only is their gear AMAZING but they also give back! OH HECK TO THE YES! They designate 2% of their revenue to help alleviate poverty around the world. Cotopaxi funds solutions that address the most persistent needs of those living in extreme poverty. Giving is core to their model. As if I needed another reason to love their innovative outdoor products...

3. Teca Windbreaker (Half-Zip) in Popsicle / 4. Libre Sweater / 5. Taal Convertible Tote

Green Salsa

If you've been around my neck of the InterWebs for any length of time you probably have picked up on my love for Mexican food (specifically chips and salsa) - thankfully it is plentiful in SoCal! Well, I don't know when the change exactly occurred, but recently I have been loving green salsa more than my standard go-to red salsa. Now I still prefer red salsa for my chips, but when dipping my burrito or quesadilla in salsa I've been reaching for the green lately. So weird (because I have never been a huge green salsa fan), but so good! I wonder what other tastes will or have changed ;)

All or Nothing: The Michigan Wolverines

Oh, I sure hope you know my love for the Michigan Wolverines runs deep (I mean, I bleed maize and blue), so when the hubby told me about an Amazon series that followed the football team around last year we HAD TO watch it! Since we have Amazon Prime we are able to watch the series for free (but my love for my alma mater runs so deep that I probably would have paid for it). There are 8 episodes (ranging from 35-50 minutes a show) and I would HIGHLY recommend it. I am probably bias, but it is still a great series even if you aren't a HUGE fan of Michigan Football. I particularly loved seeing Ann Arbor and the campus, but seeing all of the "behind the scenes" and real life of the athletes was pretty awesome too!

November Project Charity

I was STOKED to read that November Project was adding a nonprofit component to their amazing organization. They aim to use the spirit of NP to host their first community outreach plan that aims specifically at youth. They believe that the NP rulebook for accountability, human connection, intense fitness, and support for all fitness levels could make an even larger impact if they use these tools to train a younger generation, creating healthy habits from an early age. I can't wait to follow along on this new part of their journey! (PS If you want to read the original announcement you can find it HERE.)

Planters NUT-rition Energy Nut Mix

Last week while I was grocery shopping a few of the nut mixes were on sale so I snagged some (since I love me some nuts ;)). Now I will preface this favorite by saying normally when I buy nuts I buy them unsalted/ raw, so I realize that this Planters NUT-rition Energy Mix is chocked full of sugars/ salts/ extras don't make them the healthiest, but in comparison to say chips or candy they are a great alternative (healthy fat FTW!). I grabbed a couple of the canisters last week and I think we are down to our last one right now. Next time I grab groceries I'll have to check to see if they have any more!
