Todays Training Run

This afternoon I did an 8 mile training run. Last week I did an easy 10 miles (pace between 10 and 11 minute miles). Today's run I wanted to speed up a little bit, so I was shooting for 9 to 10 minute miles. I am happy to report I think most of my miles were right around that. You can see on my Garmin that I did my 8 miles in 1:15:30, which actually comes out to a little faster than 9:30 pace.

Next week I have a 10K race (which is 6.2 miles for all of you that aren't sure), so I am hoping to do that around 9 minute pace. This week's run weather was drier than last week, but a little brisker (don't worry, the weather advisory is just for fog tonight, nothing too scary :) ).

The sun even tried to peak out once I finished, but didn't really succeed.

Oh man, only a few weeks till my next half marathon race... It will be here before I know it!

Upcoming race schedule: 12.16.12 - 10K Hot Buttered Run (Mission Beach, CA) / 1.20.13 Tinker Bell Half Marathon (Anaheim, CA) / 2.23.12 - Royal Family 5K (Orlando, FL) / 2.24.13 - Princess Half Marathon (Orlando, FL).  **I think March might be a 'slow down and recover' month :)**
