Workout Recap - Week 25

Sunday, June 18th  Rest Day

Monday, June 19th – 75 minutes on the stationary bike

Tuesday, June 20th –  Rest Day

Wednesday, June 21st – 60 minutes on the stationary bike

Thursday, June 22nd – 5 mile run

Friday, June 23rd  60 minutes on the stationary bike

Saturday, June 24th – 2.9 mile run (in honor of a friend's 29 years of sobriety)

Let me tell you, having Thursday, Friday and Saturday off made ALL THE DIFFERENCE with training (I had worked 10 days in a row, so my middle weekend ended up getting put together with my next one). It is OBVIOUSLY easier to be able to get in a run or bike ride when you have all day to do them. With that being said, I may have to rethink training for Detroit. Maybe I will break up longer runs to do some before work and some on my lunch. I'm just not sure that it is sustainable to do all of my workouts when needing to wake up at 3-4am before going to work on my feet for all day. PS This upcoming Monday kicks off my official training for the Detroit Marathon in October - WHOOO HOOO! We got this!

How were your workouts this past week?

Well done on your Week 25 recap! Taking a rest day on Sunday is a smart choice, allowing your body to recover and recharge. Your commitment to spending 75 minutes on the stationary bike on Monday, followed by another 60 minutes on Wednesday, demonstrates your dedication to maintaining cardiovascular fitness. Consistency like this is key for building endurance and strength. Keep up the excellent work, and continue listening to your body as you progress!
