Local Man Helps Firefighters Buy New Fire Truck
In City Heights, firefighters have a new fire truck, thanks to the generosity of a local man.
"I used to see the trucks they used to drive and they were really bad. And they needed it, and I thought if I could help, I was going to help," Gene Siegel said.
The 82-year-old donated more than $200,000 to help Fire Station 17 get a new fire truck and other equipment.
He says it's a real joy to help out his community.
