Sunday, July 27th – 2 hour run with the hubby
Monday, July 28th – 75 minutes on the stationary bike
Tuesday, July 29th – 5 mile run
Wednesday, July 30th – 5 mile run
Thursday, July 31st – 10 mile run
Friday, August 1st – Rest day
Saturday, August 2nd – 10 mile run
I'll be honest and say that Sunday's run had me questioning why I run at all. It was a terrible run where my legs felt like led and I just couldn't get anything going. I nearly broke down in the car afterwards on the way home (dramatic much, right?!). Thankfully the rest of the runs throughout the week felt better. I still may not be crushing them when you look at my pace (compared to my past), but at least I was able to finish them with a smile on my face. I know, I know, I'm getting into the thick of this training block so it makes sense (not to mention I'd rather have a bad day on some random training run rather than come race day) - I mean 30 mile weekends can be rough, but I still don't love questioning my love of this sport.
